Fruitful: A week of nourishment and growth in the rainforest of Belize
We need new ways—of making, of being, of joining the two. We need ways that are sustainable, nourishing, and generative. Immerse for a week in the rainforest of Belize to write or make your art, replenish, receive the wisdom of nature, and explore whole and humane ways to be fruitful. (Draft schedule here.) Daily opportunities for:
- writing, art, movement, and reflection
- walking, kayaking, swimming, and exploring
- gentle and connecting conversation
- safe space for solitude in nature
Emerging and established artists, writers, musicians, and makers of all kinds welcome. Limited to 8 participants, with double or single rooms available. Accommodations are rustic (off-grid among 100,000 acres of rainforest preserve), but we get beds, warm showers, and good food beside a pristine river and lush forest.
Dates will be either January 10-17, 2026 or January 24-31, 2026, depending on participants’ availability.
$1,690 including accomodation, meals, and all activities. Airfare to and from Belize City is not included. 95% of fee goes directly to the Belize Foundation for Research & Environmental Education (bfreebz.org) and helps preserve and sustain the land, creatures, culture, and people of Belize.
