Teach

I’m a professor, writer, enthusiastic traveler, and terrible painter who believes, even in my bouts of despair, that beauty could still save the world—and all of us in it. I’ve been teaching writing and facilitating artistic, nature-based, embodied, and mindfulness practices in traditional and non-traditional settings for two decades now. Birdsong in winter and other people making things give me hope.

In my scholarly and creative work, I’m passionately curious about three overlapping dimensions of language and being, and am trying to live my professional and creative life in a devoted pursuit to deeper understanding of them.
